Key Responsibilities :

  • Payroll Management : Oversee the preparation, processing, and distribution of payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Compliance Oversight : Ensure compliance with all applicable payroll, wage, and tax laws, including federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Policy Development : Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to maintain consistency and compliance across the organization.
  • Audit Coordination : Lead internal and external audits related to payroll, benefits, and compensation, ensuring all documentation is accurate and readily available.
  • Team Leadership : Supervise payroll staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure a high-functioning team.
  • System Maintenance : Manage and maintain payroll systems, ensuring data integrity and implementing updates as necessary.
  • Reporting : Prepare and submit required payroll reports to regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.
  • Issue Resolution : Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.

Qualifications & Requirements :

  • Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency : Proficiency in payroll software and systems; strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Regulatory Knowledge : In-depth understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws.
  • Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Leadership Abilities : Proven experience in leading and developing a team, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Certifications : Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
