Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, sandblasting, masking, and degreasing before powder coating.
- Apply powder coatings using electrostatic spray guns and ensure even coverage.
- Operate and maintain ovens, spray booths, and powder coating equipment .
- Inspect finished parts for coating thickness, adhesion, and overall quality .
- Adjust application techniques to achieve desired texture, color, and finish .
- Follow safety procedures and environmental guidelines when handling chemicals and coatings.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area , ensuring proper storage of coatings and tools.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coating defects to optimize production.
- Work closely with fabricators and production teams to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Powder Coater or in an industrial painting role.
- Knowledge of powder coating techniques, curing processes, and finishing standards .
- Ability to use and maintain electrostatic spray guns, ovens, and masking tools .
- Familiarity with metal fabrication and surface preparation methods .
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment .
- Experience reading work orders, blueprints, and technical specifications .
- Forklift certification (preferred but not required).
