Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC and manual press brakes to bend, form, and shape metal parts according to blueprints and specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and CAD files to determine correct machine settings.
- Select and install appropriate tooling, dies, and back gauges for each job.
- Adjust machine settings, including bend angles, pressure, and positioning , to maintain precise tolerances.
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure quality and conformance to specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to keep machines running efficiently.
- Work with fabricators, welders, and engineers to optimize production processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety protocols and industry best practices .
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in operating CNC and manual press brakes , preferably with Amada, Bystronic, or Trumpf machines.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and work orders .
- Experience working with various metals , including stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel.
- Strong understanding of bend allowances, sheet metal properties, and tooling selection .
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced production setting .
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic programming skills for CNC press brakes (a plus).
