Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machines to perform bending, forming, and cutting operations on metal sheets and plates.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules to determine specific fabrication requirements.
- Select appropriate tooling and machine settings for each job, ensuring optimal performance and product quality.
- Align and secure materials accurately in the machine, monitoring operations to maintain precise dimensions and angles.
- Conduct test runs and adjust machine settings as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Inspect finished products for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning and lubrication, to ensure optimal functionality.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machine operation or metal fabrication is a plus.
- Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing environment.
