Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement processes, test procedures, and systems to ensure products meet quality standards, safety regulations, and client expectations.
- Collaborate with management to create quality controls and Standard Work Instructions (SWIs).
- Monitor variations in scrap products and raw materials, perform statistical evaluations, and define corrective actions; lead root cause and corrective action activities.
- Analyze data to suggest improvements in quality controls and SWIs to reduce scrap and enhance product performance.
- Support and train Quality Technicians, Lead Hands, and Production Operators on SWIs, quality, and process issues.
- Generate statistical analyses and reports on the quality of raw materials and finished products.
- Monitor and suggest improvements to production recipes at various process stages; implement approved enhancements.
- Develop, implement, test, analyze, revise, and improve manufacturing processes.
- Prepare Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions and approvals for customers and suppliers.
- Perform root-cause analysis and apply corrective / preventive actions.
- Champion Control Plans, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (PFMEAs), and related inspection and testing activities.
- Maintain ongoing defect-prevention activities through FMEA reviews.
- Participate in internal and external design reviews.
- Conduct process, system, and dimensional audits.
- Perform dimensional layouts and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) studies for new and existing programs.
- Lead quality-related documentation efforts for new product launches.
- Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) and liaise with suppliers and customers as needed, including on-site visits.
- Review Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) and 8D reports; enhance supplier quality training and collaborate on corrective actions.
- Review Return Material Authorization (RMA) claims for accuracy and oversee the in-house RMA program.
- Collaborate with the Leadership Team to produce and maintain all documentation required for the Quality Manual in compliance with ISO standards.
- Support the Quality Manager in various initiatives.
- Uphold and promote company ethics and operational values.
- Drive continuous improvement and corrective / preventative actions.
- Ensure and continuously improve the quality standards of finished products.
- Contribute to reducing production downtime and product defects through preventive and corrective actions.
- Enhance the motivation and team spirit of all operational staff.
