Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of facilities, equipment, and workspaces to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Follow and adhere to cleaning schedules, processes, and procedures as outlined by company and regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, FDA, or USDA).
- Utilize cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively, ensuring proper handling, storage, and labeling.
- Conduct inspections of facilities and equipment to identify areas that require additional cleaning or maintenance.
- Dispose of waste, recycling, and hazardous materials according to company policies and environmental regulations.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to address sanitation concerns or challenges.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in sanitation, janitorial, or custodial roles preferred, particularly in food manufacturing.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and chemical handling.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physical stamina to perform manual labor, standing for extended periods, and working in various environmental conditions (e.g., cold, heat, or damp).
