Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair gas, diesel, and electric-powered turf equipment , including golf carts, mowers, aerators, and sprayers.
- Perform preventive maintenance , including oil changes, filter replacements, and hydraulic system checks.
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Operate diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Conduct welding and fabrication for minor equipment repairs when needed.
- Maintain accurate service records and work orders .
- Assist customers and staff with technical support and equipment operation guidance .
- Follow all safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Turf Equipment Technician, Small Engine Mechanic, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of gasoline, diesel, and electric engines , as well as hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Ability to diagnose and repair golf course maintenance equipment, utility vehicles, and commercial turf machinery .
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools .
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics .
- Excellent communication and customer service skills .
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in various outdoor conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical certification or degree in Diesel Mechanics, Small Engine Repair, or a related field.
- Experience with Jacobsen, Toro, John Deere, or similar turf equipment brands .
- Knowledge of golf course or sports field maintenance equipment .
