Key Responsibilities :
- Welding and Fabrication : Perform various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), to fabricate and assemble metal components according to specifications.
- Blueprint Interpretation : Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine material requirements and fabrication processes.
- Material Preparation : Prepare materials for welding and fabrication by cutting, shaping, and cleaning metal components to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Quality Assurance : Inspect completed welds and fabricated components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications, making necessary adjustments as needed.
- Equipment Maintenance : Maintain welding and fabrication equipment in good working condition, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting as required.
- Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of materials.
- Collaboration : Work closely with team members, including engineers and other fabricators, to complete projects efficiently and accurately.
