A Career and Technical Education (CTE) Teacher is responsible for delivering specialized instruction that equips students with practical skills, technical knowledge, and industry-specific expertise to prepare them for successful careers. They foster a dynamic learning environment that encourages skill development, problem-solving, critical thinking, and career readiness.
- Develop and deliver lesson plans that integrate technical skills, academic knowledge, and career exploration.
- Teach and demonstrate industry-relevant practices, tools, and technologies.
- Provide hands-on learning opportunities, including labs, projects, and simulations.
- Assess student progress through evaluations, certifications, and competency-based assessments.
- Stay updated on industry trends and maintain certifications in relevant technical fields.
- Promote student engagement, creativity, and workplace readiness skills such as teamwork, communication, and professionalism.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal education standards.
- Support students in developing career plans and exploring postsecondary education or employment opportunities.
Meet the qualifications that set you up for success
- Holding a bachelor’s degree, a current teaching certificate within the state the position is located (alternative options available for those with bachelor's degree only).
- Have proven proficiency and experience in the subject of focus and specialty area of this teaching position.

- Being active in the role when light lifting, sitting, standing, moving throughout the campus and traveling to other campuses as required.
