Job Title: Direct Support Professional
Sunday-Thursday 3pm-11pm
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and support to individuals in need, particularly those with mental and behavioral health challenges, within their home and community settings. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), medication administration, transportation, and overall patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality care and support to individuals with behavioral and mental health in program and community environments
- Administer medications following prescribed guidelines
- Provide transportation for individuals to appointments, outings, and activities
- Offer emotional support and companionship to enhance the well-being of those under your care
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to ensure holistic care
Requirements:
- Experience in home community care or related field is preferred
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with mental and behavioral challenges
- Competency in activities of daily living (ADLs) support
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record for transportation needs
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to caregiving
- Willingness to undergo training in social work practices
