At Legacy Tree Genealogists we love helping people all over the world (in over 50 countries!) discover their heritage. We get up in the morning and do things like tell a client her birth father’s name, connect cousins in China, and share documentation that an ancestor used an alias and actually fathered two families – at the same time, in two different countries. For over 20 years we’ve been changing people’s lives by answering some of their deepest questions about their family history.

Legacy Tree is growing (we've been recognized as one of Utah's 100 fastest-growing companies six years in a row!), and we need your help.

Although this is a remote position, travel to Utah for conferences and events could be up to 3 times per year.

About You

You will be a great fit for this position if:

• You have experience in content marketing, including social media, blog writing, email marketing, and analytics.
• You are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and take pride in your work.
• You love strategizing and analyzing data to optimize content performance.
• You are an excellent writer and editor with a strong understanding of brand voice.
• You have an interest in or experience with genealogy (or are excited to learn!).
• You thrive in a remote work environment and can manage multiple projects efficiently.
• You have a quiet place to work, a reliable computer, and a strong internet connection.
• You are available 15-20 hours per week, with some availability on weekdays

What you’ll be doing at Legacy Tree:

• Content Creation & Strategy – Assist in developing, planning, and executing content across multiple platforms, including our blog, weekly newsletter, YouTube, podcast, and social media channels.
• Social Media Management – Create and schedule posts, engage with followers, and track performance using analytics.
• Email Marketing & Newsletters – Assist in writing, designing, and managing campaigns through GetResponse.
• Blog Management – Oversee content planning, editing, and publishing to align with company goals and audience interests.
• Analytics & Reporting – Monitor engagement, track key performance metrics, and strategize with the Marketing Manager.
• Collaboration – Work closely with the marketing manager and other team members to ensure cohesive messaging and branding.
• Event Support - Occasionally assist with marketing efforts related to conferences and in-person events.

Work When You Want

This part-time role requires 15-20 hours per week, with some availability during weekdays. We prioritize work-life balance and are happy to work with your schedule whenever possible.

Work with Great People

We may be a remote company, but when you’re solving some of the toughest genealogy mysteries in the world or supporting those who do, there’s a lot of cooperation that takes place. You’ll get to know your team members pretty darn well. Some of your co-workers will be Terra (likely winner of “most helpful person” award), Danae (tech guru who we’re still trying to convince to watch “The Office”), and Paul (genetic genealogy prodigy who has reunited hundreds of families). There are lots of others who you’ll get to know, especially in our company chat Break Room and at our annual retreats.
