Overview
Legacy is seeking a skilled concrete laborer to join our team. You'll have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with passionate professionals who take pride in their work. As a concrete laborer, you'll be responsible for helping to build and finish various concrete structures and surfaces. We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, physically fit, and enjoys working with their hands.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform general construction labor to include jobsite clean-up and moving of materials by hand.
- Operating motorized equipment including power tools, saws, hammers, nails, and bolts.
- Work requires alert individuals with good balance and physical strength.
- Assist in pouring of vertical concrete.
- Install reshores per instructions.
- Working during inclement weather, could be exposed to extreme cold and heat, noise and dust from construction operations depending upon project site.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds of material and up to 90 pounds of material with assistance, if requested.
- Frequently walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching and climbing.
- Frequent use of hand tools such as power tools, circular saws, hammers, nails, and bolts.
- 10 Hour OSHA Card preferred or able to obtain.
Preferred Experience:
Preference given to candidates with a minimum of 6 months of formwork / concrete construction labor work experience at meets or exceeds performance expectations.
30 Hour OSHA Card desired.
This position is governed by a collective bargaining unit. According to the terms of the CBA, applicants who are selected will be required to join the appropriate union within a certain period after hire. Details of union participation will be given to employees upon hire.

Duties
- Assist in the preparation and pouring of concrete for various projects, including foundations, sidewalks, and driveways.
- Perform masonry tasks such as laying bricks or blocks as needed.
- Engage in flooring installation, ensuring proper alignment and finishing.
- Utilize hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing concrete surfaces.
- Execute frame carpentry tasks to support concrete structures.
- Apply stucco finishes to surfaces as required.
- Participate in heavy lifting and moving of materials on-site.
- Conduct trim carpentry work to enhance the aesthetic quality of finished projects.
- Read blueprints accurately to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Implement metal stud framing techniques as necessary for structural support.
- Assist in restoration projects by repairing and maintaining existing concrete structures.
Skills
- Proficiency in masonry techniques and flooring installation methods is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of hand tools and their proper usage in construction tasks.
- Experience in frame carpentry and trim carpentry is an asset.
- Familiarity with stucco application processes is beneficial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently is essential for this role.
- Competence in reading blueprints to ensure accurate project execution.
- Knowledge of metal stud framing practices is advantageous for structural projects.
- A commitment to safety protocols on construction sites is mandatory.
