POSITION SUMMARY
Work in a team-oriented, high-volume, fast-paced, guest-centric environment to deliver high quality food items to order for our guests.
Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Station set up to ensure all supplies needed for the shift are available and ready to use
- Prepping foods such as chopping vegetable, butchering meats, or preparing sauces
- Follow recipe and presentation guidelines to meet or exceed guests’ expectations
- Meeting special guest requests while ensuring same high quality standards
- Coordinating food orders to support timely and efficient delivery to each guest
- Ensuring proper food safety and sanitation standards to ensure employee and guest safety
- Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices.
- Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as smelling or temping with thermometers
- Quickly and correctly portion, arrange, and garnish food, and serve food to servers/room service staff
- Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and fryers
- Properly store foods according to standards
- Season and cook food according to recipes or specification
- Substitute for or assist other cooks during peak business periods
- Adhere to timing standards for products and services
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes using various kitchen utensils and equipment.
- Maintain a clean working space
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
- Has an understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment
