POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for supporting the Controller in creating and implementing corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls for vacation ownership and hospitality in accordance with GAAP. This includes assisting the Controller with the timely preparation and maintenance of financial records, the audit of financial statements, the production of financial reports and variance analysis.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Create financial statements for upper management
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports
- Assist Financial Managers with budgeting
- Ensure all accounting practices are in compliance with legal guidelines and established accounting principles
- Assist with billing and tax documentation preparation
- Work with the company financial team to create internal controls and policies
- Identify solutions to discrepancies in financial records
- Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments
- Assist with preparation for audits
- Create ad-hoc reporting as needed
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
Experience: 5 or more years of accounting experience; vacation ownership and hospitality preferred.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office with advanced Excel, GL/AP related software, Sage/MAS a plus.
Other Requirements: Familiar with GAAP, financial reporting and basic audit requirements
