Financial Planning and Operations Associate
We are seeking a dedicated and ambitious professional to join our team as a Financial Planning and Operations Associate. This role offers the opportunity to start by supporting critical operations and client service activities while progressively developing into a relationship-management and financial planning role as experience and education are gained. The goal for this position is to be a full-time relationship manager and financial planner.
· The focus of this job is on producing high quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines and procedures. Precise, consistent work output is essential, requiring patience and a willingness to handle and complete one task at a time.

Career Path
This hybrid role is designed to evolve with your growth. You will begin as part of the Operations Team, gaining hands-on experience with client onboarding, service, and account management. Over time, you will take on increasing responsibilities in financial planning and relationship management, eventually serving as a primary point of contact for clients.
Phase 1: Operations Focus
Responsibilities include:
· Supporting client onboarding, including account establishment, transfers, and documentation.
· Handling client service tasks such as processing transactions, addressing custodian alerts, and preparing client paperwork.
· Collaborating with Relationship Managers (RMs) and Portfolio Managers (PMs) to ensure seamless client service.
· Maintaining accurate records and managing workflows using Tamarac CRM.
· Responding to client inquiries professionally and efficiently.
· Within the first six months, you will be required to pass the Series 65 exam.
· By the end of the first year of service, we will expect you to begin the process to earn your Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation. Obtaining this designation will be a long-term requirement of the job.
Phase 2: Relationship Management and Financial Planning
As you gain experience, responsibilities will expand to include:
· Assisting in analyzing clients’ financial situations and developing comprehensive financial plans.
· Addressing client needs in areas such as investment strategies, tax planning, insurance, and estate planning.
· Preparing for and participating in client meetings, including agenda creation and follow-ups.
· Serving as the primary Relationship Manager for a select group of clients, guiding them through key financial decisions.
Key Qualifications:
· B.A. or B.S. degree from accredited four-year university
· Organized, with a strong attention to detail
· Strong technical and analytical financial skills
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Ability to identify, meet and follow through with client needs and requirements
· Must be a self-starter, problem solver and a goal-oriented team player
· Able to work independently
· Able to multi-task when needed
· Show curiosity and confidence when dealing with clients and principals
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (particularly Excel and Word)
