Human Resources Generalist
Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada is recruiting for a full time experienced Human Resources Generalist. The ideal candidate will handle daily functions of the HR department including hiring, interviewing, benefits, leaves and enforcing company policies and practices.
Responsibilities
- Maintains employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key details.
- Maintains accurate records of active job openings and received applications; manages internal and external job postings.
- Reviews applications for entry-level and non-exempt positions; conducts and/or schedules preliminary interviews.
- Performs administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes, which may include resignations, terminations, and extended leaves of absence.
- Assists with the administration of employee benefits, which may include collecting and submitting employee information and notice of change in status to health, dental, life, disability, and other insurance carriers or insurance brokers.
- Plans and supports company-wide information meetings such as open enrollment, new hire orientation, and meetings to announce or discuss changes in retirement or benefits plans.
- Conducts or assists with record audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, and other compliance reviews.• Performs other duties as assigned.

- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
Starting salary range is $45,000.00-$55,000.00 yearly dependent upon experience with annual increases available. Our excellent benefits include 100% employer paid health insurance for an employee, spouse/domestic partner and dependents up to 26 years old. A 403B match dollar for dollar up to 5% of an employee’s salary after 12 months of employment, 12 weeks paid parental leave, a generous paid time off policy and flex work options.
