Description
Develop a communication and marketing strategy, content, and marketing campaign and to build community partnerships, networks, and coalitions, all advancing Legal Aid’s mission.
Essential Functions
- Create annual communications and marketing strategies and social media calendar, as well as coordinate and manage marketing campaigns.
- Manage, create and produce internal and external electronic (including video) and print marketing communications materials.
- Manage the social media presences of Legal Aid of Nebraska; regularly update all social media channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
- Respond to media inquiries, supporting efforts to increase communications and media outreach capacity. Provide media guidance for our legal partners, attorneys and teams.
- Foster and maintain relationships and trust with community groups, community based organizations, leaders, partners, collaborators, decision makers, influencers, and the media.
- Track media coverage of Legal Aid of Nebraska and its partners, and issues related to legal aid.
- Perform outreach to press outlets, magazines, influencers and build strategic partnerships to grow brand notoriety.
- Maintain and manage content on the Legal Aid of Nebraska website; regularly update content and images; monitor traffic and address technical issues with website performance as they arise.
- Create and maintain an inventory of all community engagement and promotional materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline, preferably in public relations, journalism or communications or equivalent experience.
- At least five (5) years of experience in marketing and communication with at least two (2) years experience at a manager level or higher.
