Position Summary
Ensures the efficient day-to-day operation of the Legal Aid of Nebraska Accounting office; coordinates current and projected needs of the support side of the office and carries out the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.
Essential Functions
- Oversee reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare and post adjusting entries for review and approval of the Director of Finance.
- Provide grant reporting and compliance support to the Director of Finance
- Prepare and submit payroll information to the vendor.
- Prepare special reports and analyses on an as-needed basis.
- Oversee, along with the Director of Finance, accounting control processes (procurement, inventory, etc as outlined in the accounting manual)
- In the Accounting Clerk’s absence, this individual will produce and mail checks.
- Prepares monthly revenue-expense report and balance sheet for review with the Director of Finance.
Requirements
Required Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience working as an accountant.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- Non-profit experience preferred.
