Executive Assistant/Private Attorney Involvement (PAI) Assistant
Job Summary:
Legal Aid of San Bernardino (LASSB) has an immediate, full-time in-person position for an Executive Assistant/PAI Assistant. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to serving disadvantaged populations and we will give preference to candidates who have knowledge of poverty law and experience providing services to low-income individuals.

Legal Aid Society of San Bernardino is a 501 (C)(3) non-profit organization that was founded in 1958 for the purpose of providing civil legal services to the indigent and needy. Since its formation, LASSB has continually provided free legal services to the needy to protect their rights and assist them in remedying problems which affect their daily lives. We provide free legal services throughout the vast county of San Bernardino. Duties and responsibilities:
- Support for Executive Director, Deputy Director and Office Manager
- Support onboarding activities for new hires and coordinate orientation sessions
- Schedule and coordinate quarterly check-ins and annual reviews for all team members
- Help process employee benefits and assist with open enrollment.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Review expense reports
- Assist as needed with payroll and time tracking through ADP Workforce Now
- Maintain an organized and efficient office environment, managing supplies and equipment as needed
- Provide administrative support including meeting preparation and file management.
- Assist in managing building access control, and maintaining a log of keys
- Assist with PAI scheduling and time tracking
- Attend events to assist with volunteer recruitment
- File management
- Other duties and needed
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in a related field plus three or more years of professional work history
- Proven experience as an executive assistant or in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Superior skills in Microsoft 365
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must type at least 50 words per minute.
- Knowledge of legal terminology and legal document management
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal service
- Ability to be flexible to adapt and act quickly
- Self-motivated, takes initiative, ability to learn quickly
- Language: Ability to read, write and communicate in English and Spanish
