A leading multinational software company is seeking an experienced immigration attorney to assist their team on a full-time (40 hours per week), contract basis for an initial 6 month term (with the potential to extend).
Title: Immigration Attorney (Secondment)
Experience: 6 Years
Location: Hybrid (Redmond, WA, USA)
Hours: 40 Hours / Week
Desired Start Date: February 1, 2025 or ASAP
Proposed Duration: 6 months to start, with option to extend to 18 months.
Location: Strong preference for on-site in Redmond, WA 2 or 3 days per week (with rest of the week remote), but can be fully or partially remote.
Time Zone/Working Hours: PST
Pay Rate: $95 - $115 / hr
Project Description
- Contribute to supporting high-volume U.S. business immigration operations.
- Provide high-volume strategic legal advice to visa-dependent employees and business groups on case-specific, complex, immigration matters, including I-9 and E-Verify.
- Oversee the preparation and filing of non-immigrant and immigrant petitions and applications and support legal compliance in filing petitions and applications.
- Conduct legal research related to immigration law and summarize it into complete and concise legal memoranda.
- Work effectively with colleagues and outside counsel to manage projects and simplify complex legal issues into clear written and verbal communication.
- The candidate will be working cross-functionally with various teams. This person should be able to work independently with little hand holding. A self-starter is a must.
Qualifications
Substantive Law Experience:
- 3 years of experience as an attorney in business immigration law, including high-volume business immigration practice with technology clients and working on full suite of non-immigrant and immigrant visa processes such as: H-1B, L-1, TN, PERM, and the full suite of EB-1s.
- Juris Doctor or international equivalent degree
- Jurisdictions: Active license to practice law in a jurisdiction and capable of meeting admission requirements in relevant jurisdiction.
- Private Practice Experience: At least 3 years of experience practicing at a law firm.
- Education: JD
- Other Requirements: Self-starter, needs little direction to drive initiatives forward, efficiency, not afraid to work with technology, organized, structured & responsive. Able to work cross-functionally with a diverse group of internal clients.
Salary : $95 - $115
