Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active membership in the California State Bar
- A minimum of 5 years of legal experience, with a primary focus on class action litigation
- In-depth knowledge of Commercial and Labor law
- Extensive understanding and experience in Labor Code PAGA
- Proven success in managing and litigating complex cases in federal court
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities
- Leadership experience, including mentoring junior attorneys
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Commercial and Labor class action cases from initiation to resolution
- Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other necessary court filings
- Represent plaintiffs in federal court, including participating in hearings, depositions, and trials
- Provide clients with legal advice and regular updates on case developments
- Collaborate with co-counsel, experts, and other stakeholders to devise case strategies and theories
- Negotiate settlements and engage in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes
- Stay informed on current trends, changes, and developments in class action law and regulations
- Maintain well-organized and accurate case files and documentation throughout the litigation process
