Responsibilities:
- As a trial attorney, you will be responsible for representing our clients in court, managing and organizing caseloads, developing strategies, and advising clients on their legal rights
- Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in civil litigation
- Conduct research, interview clients and witnesses, and handle other details in preparation for trial
- Prepare legal briefs, motions, and other pleadings in accordance with the court’s rules
- Develop litigation strategies, negotiate with opposing counsel, and advise clients on their legal rights
- Handle a variety of complex cases including medical malpractice, personal injury, legal malpractice, professional liability, and business law litigation
- Manage all phases of the litigation from the investigation, pleadings, and discovery through the pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal processes
- Provide expert legal support, advice, and guidance to ensure the best possible outcome for our clients
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Must be a member in good standing with the local State Bar
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Plaintiff trial attorney, specifically dealing with medical malpractice, personal injury, legal malpractice, professional liability, and business law litigation
- Proven track record of achieving favorable verdicts in court
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and courtroom advocacy skills
- Strong research and report writing skills
- Ability to handle a high caseload and a willingness to meet the demands of the role
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity
- Proficient in legal research software and MS Office
