OVERVIEW :
Established by Congress in 1974, the Legal Services Corporation (LSC) is the country’s single largest funder of civil legal aid for low-income Americans. LSC currently funds 131 independent nonprofit legal aid organizations with more than 800 offices throughout the nation. LSC’s mission is to promote equal access to justice and provide grants for high-quality civil legal assistance to low-income Americans.
This position is based in Washington, DC, and will require working from an office in DC in accordance with LSC’s hybrid work model. The successful candidate must live in the DC metropolitan area for the duration of the internship.
BASIC FUNCTION :
The primary objectives of the internship are for the intern to :
- Enhance existing training and technical skills;
- Learn leading and innovative practices for adult learning;
- Enhance time management skills while working on multiple time-sensitive projects;
- Learn and enhance professional skills and behaviors necessary for career success;
- Enhance and refine existing project management skills.
The intern may work part-time for up to 28 hours per w eek . The internship will run from mid-May through August 2025.

General :

They also will exercise good judgment and be an effective problem-solver. Intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn new concepts quickly are highly desired traits.
