Our client is a well-respected litigation law firm in White Plains, NY. It is currently seeking an experienced Litigation Associate to play a pivotal role in its expanding national litigation practice. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in a wide variety of litigation matters, including those involving the firearm and sporting goods industries, as well as non-litigation matters. The cases we handle encompass product liability, complex commercial disputes, intellectual property issues, and other intriguing legal challenges. The ideal candidate will have courtroom and deposition experience and will be expected to supervise and lead junior associates and paralegals, with potential firm management responsibilities. Excellent legal research, investigation, writing, and verbal communication skills are essential.
Requirements:
- Admission to practice law in the State of New York.
- 5 years of litigation experience.
- Strong knowledge of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
- Experience with various litigation tasks from initial pleadings through trial-related court filings.
- Deposition and courtroom experience.
- Previous experience with product liability, complex commercial, and personal injury lawsuits in federal and state courts.
- Stellar written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage cases while collaborating effectively with a team.
- Capability to handle a robust caseload and multitask effectively.
- Willingness to travel periodically for court appearances, depositions, and evidence inspections.
Ideal Candidate:
- Secondary admission to practice law in the State of New Jersey and/or State of Connecticut is a plus.
- Experience with supervisory responsibilities.
- Familiarity with litigating matters in various federal and state jurisdictions with pro hac vice admission.
- Extensive experience in independently taking and defending depositions.
- Experience in advising clients on commercial matters.
- Knowledge or interest in firearms, ammunition, and/or shooting sports is beneficial.
Salary : $220,000
