What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP of Product position at LegalOn Technologies?
In this role you will lead product management at LegalOn in the US, reporting to the CEO. You will be responsible for product strategy, execution, design, and user testing. You will lead an experienced team of 5 , setting and executing strategy for products serving 7k customers globally. You will work closely with engineering, content, and AI teams located in the US and Tokyo. Occasional travel to Tokyo is expected.
Responsibilities
- Craft the product strategy for our legal AI products serving professionals in the US, Japan, and around the world. We focus today on supporting in-house legal professionals with contract review and management AI, but our vision and goals continue to expand.
- Work closely with customers to ensure our product is easy to learn, easy to use, and delivers compelling value that drives regular user engagement.
- Work closely with engineering teams in the US and Japan in an iterative development environment to adapt and create new features that delight customers, driving a high Net Promoter Score and a high win rate for our sales team.
- Deeply understand all of our customer personas to analyze pain points, set priorities, and create solutions.
- Effectively represent and communicate the product’s strategy, roadmap, challenges, needs and value proposition to internal teams (including engineering, sales, design, and senior leadership) as well as customers.
Qualifications
- Customer-focused and demonstrated ability to effectively engage directly with customers
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Organized and detail-oriented, able to keep multiple complex projects on track simultaneously and deliver best-in-class product experiences for demanding users.
- Deeply comfortable and excited about developing next generation experiences and solutions with GenAI
- Data driven and focused on setting and driving key performance metrics like monthly active users and NPS
- Ability to hire, lead, and coach top product management talent
- You have a bias for action, and a deep understanding of design-thinking and iterative, customer-focused product development
- Relentlessly resourceful – able to get things done despite constraints, roadblocks, and setbacks
- Preferred
- JD or substantive experience in the legal field / legal technology
- B2B product development experience
- Bonus: Japanese language skills
