A System Administrator is responsible for the daily maintenance, security, and optimization of LegalStream IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and computer systems. They ensure that software, hardware, and other IT resources operate efficiently and securely. This role also involves troubleshooting technical issues, managing user accounts, and providing technical support to other employees.
Key Responsibilities of a System Administrator:

· Infrastructure Management:
Installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, networks, and computer systems.
· Security:
In close cooperation with InfoSec team works on implementing and maintaining security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
· Troubleshooting:
Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
· User Account Management:
Creating, modifying, and deleting user accounts, assigning permissions, and managing access rights utilizing Microsoft AD
· Performance Monitoring:
Monitoring system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and recommending improvements.
· Backup and Recovery:
Developing and executing backup plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
· Technical Support:
Providing technical support to other employees, answering questions, and resolving issues.
· Software and Hardware Upgrades:
Researching, installing, and configuring software and hardware upgrades.
· Documentation:
Maintaining detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
· Collaboration:
Working with other IT professionals, project managers, and business users to ensure systems meet organizational needs.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.).
- Familiarity with network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, etc.).
- Knowledge of server administration tools and techniques.
- Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
