**Job Overview**
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our team at Legami, a new Italian Restaurant in downtown Charleston. As a Server, you will play a vital role in ensuring our guests have an exceptional dining experience. If you are passionate about providing top-notch customer service and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply.
**Responsibilities**
- Greet guests in a warm and welcoming manner, taking care to address them by name and make them feel at ease.
- Take food and drink orders from guests, answer questions, and make recommendations based on their preferences.
- Sanitize and maintain the cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and floors.
- Manage the flow of tables and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient service.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure orders are accurate and timely.
- Buss tables and refill utensils and condiments as needed.
- Utilize OpenTable to manage reservations and seating arrangements.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, even during busy periods.
- Help with upselling and promoting our menu items and specials.
- Assist with cleaning and restocking the kitchen and dining areas.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
**Requirements**
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting.
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with colleagues.
- Familiarity with OpenTable and other point-of-sale systems.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient service.
- Knowledge of restaurant safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to help in the kitchen when needed, including bussing and restocking supplies.
- Passion for upselling and promoting our menu items and specials.
