What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Service Advisor/Writer position at Legend Auto Sales?
The Service Writer initiates automotive services and repairs by ascertaining vehicle performance problems and services request and develops estimates, writes repair orders and maintains customers’ records. Serves as the communication liaison between the customer and technician. Spanish/English is preffered.
Customer Service.
Greets customers in a professional and friendly manner either in person or on the phoneSchedules service appointments
Accurately documents customers’ concerns regarding vehicle maintenance
Performs inspections to narrow down more specific causes of vehicle’s problems
Effectively communicates with customers inspection results, recommended procedures, and estimated costs for parts and labor, and obtains customer’s approval for recommended procedures
Clearly explains the process for repair/maintenance procedures and provides appropriate schedule for completion of services
Expertly presents upsell opportunities to customers and properly asks for the sale
Follows up with customer upon completion of service visit(s) to measure customer’s level of satisfaction
Technician Communication
Prepares Repair Orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes based on inspection results and Auto Technician’s recommendations
Communicates customer’s vehicle concerns to Auto Technicians in a clear and concise manner
Follows up with Auto Technicians to determine if there are any changes to timelines, additional need for repairs, etc. in order to relay such information to customers when necessary
Administrative Tasks
Makes arbitration claims to auction for deficiency of vehicles purchased at auction. Works to get adjustment or buyback of the vehicle from the auction. Communicates with sales dept for authorization on what to do with vehicle.
Makes claims to service contracts to get customer vehicle repaired in timely manner. Keeps communication with customer to update the progress. Keeps the Service contract provider claim moving along quickly. Receives payment from service contract.
Produces timely paperwork routines on a daily basis
Enters RO information into the service database system
Maintains organized paperwork
Provides cashier services
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
