Role Overview

Legend Biotech is seeking Biomedical Engineer Intern as part of the Automation Lab team based in Somerset, NJ.

Key Responsibilities

• We are seeking a Biomedical Engineering Intern to join our cell and gene therapy manufacturing development automation team at Legend Biotech.
• This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cell and gene therapy processing, analytics, and system automation development.
• As an intern, you will focus on qualifying and enhancing automated and closed systems used in cell and gene therapy manufacturing.
• You will work closely with automation development Scientists, and will conduct experiments and validation studies new and innovative automation for high-throughput manufacturing process validation studies.
• This role provides valuable hands-on experience in cell and gene therapy drug product manufacturing development focused on closed systems and automation.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or related degree
• Desire to work in cell and gene therapy manufacturing and analytical automation development
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and problem-solving skills
• Positive attitude, team-oriented, adaptive to change, and collaborative
• Actively involved in campus or community activities and organizations, preferably in leadership roles.
• Prior lab experience is a plus.
