Role Overview

Legend Biotech is seeking a QC Microbiology Intern as part of the QC Microbiology team based in Raritan, NJ. The QC Microbiology intern will work with the microbiology team to learn and support the day-to-day functions of the microbiology testing and reporting. They will help to streamline the microbiology reporting processes to support and quicken QC Microbiology turnaround times.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with QC Microbiology team to organize testing data for archiving and reporting.
• Support eLIMS sample uploads for microbial identification data (Accugenix Reports).
• Support QC laboratory activities including laboratory/equipment cleaning.
• Track material and equipment inventory/maintenance.
• Support shipping of microbial identification samples.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program within a science or engineering field
• Microbiology knowledge preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and analytical problem solving and conflict resolution skills
• Attention to detail
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
