Role Overview
A Senior Accountant will oversee the accounting functions for a Legend entity, with a primary focus on Payroll, Treasury and comprehensive Financial Reporting. This position requires close collaboration with the Legend Financial Reporting Team, Treasury, Payroll, Accounts Payables, and FP&A teams. Additionally, the role includes providing accounting support for other Legend operating entities as necessary.

This position requires close collaboration with the Legend Financial Reporting Team, Treasury, Payroll, Accounts Payables, and FP&A teams. Additionally, the role includes providing accounting support for other Legend operating entities as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Month-End Accounting and Reporting: Prepare journal entries, variance analysis, and create operating entity reporting packages. Ensure timely completion of the month-end close activities and the related deliverables in compliance with the month-end reporting calendar.
- Month-End Analysis: Prepare month-end reports for submission to the Legend Reporting Team. Analyze financial data and explain fluctuations for the balance sheet and income statement.
- Payroll and Prepayments: Record, reconcile, and manage payroll and prepayments.
- Intercompany Transactions: Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
- Account Reconciliations: Prepare account reconciliations on a timely basis, ensuring they meet SOX requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Initiate continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency and respond to changes in the business environment.
- Internal controls: Maintain internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with SOX requirements.
- Audit Cooperation: Cooperate with external and internal auditors, timely deliver the financial information to third parties and regulators when necessary.
- Ad Hoc Requests: Address ad hoc requests as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance is required
- CPA License/Certification is a plus
- 4 years of experience in accounting function in the biopharmaceutical/ medical devices industry or large corporation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, experience with SAP is preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Cooperation and collaboration spirit
- Fluent oral communication, reading and writing skill in English
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of internal and external team members.
