We use accrual accounting and would like someone who is well versed in Quickbooks online.
Duties
- Assist with daily accounting operations, including managing accounts payable and receivable.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliation and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Support tax preparation processes by gathering necessary documentation and data.
- Maintain accurate records of debits and credits, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
- Utilize accounting software such as Quicken and Sage for budgeting, bank reconciliation, and financial analysis.
- Prepare reports and summaries to assist management in decision-making processes.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits to provide necessary documentation.
- Handle general office tasks such as filing, data entry, and responding to inquiries.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role within public accounting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, including debits, credits, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Familiarity with tax regulations and GAAP compliance is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as quickbooks online.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
