Position Title: Community Response Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Programs
Position Status: Fulltime, Non Exempt
Schedule: Tuesday-Friday, 9-5pm with flexibility to work some nights and weekends.

What You’ll Do
As Community Response Coordinator, you’ll be on the frontlines of Legendary Legacies’ outreach efforts—engaging with participants, connecting with families, and ensuring that community events and partnerships thrive.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Community Engagement & Events
- Plan and coordinate community events (e.g., cookouts, Feeding the Soul, Leaving the Block).
- Represent LL at schools, community centers, and local organizations to engage potential participants.
- Serve as an ambassador for LL at public events and collaborate with law enforcement and other partners.
- Develop marketing materials, presentations, and outreach strategies to increase awareness of LL programs.
Participant & Family Support
- Handle internal and external referrals—connecting young men with LL programs or outside resources as needed.
- Engage with families impacted by violence, incarceration, and trauma, offering support and connections to services.
- Keep detailed documentation of outreach efforts, community responses, and participant engagement.
Community Partnerships & Outreach
- Work alongside police, hospitals, and community organizations to address violence prevention and intervention efforts.
- Attend and participate in ongoing trainings with law enforcement, medical professionals, and nonprofit leaders.
- Expand LL’s network of community partners to ensure we are effectively meeting participant needs.
Organizational Support & Administration
- Keep clear and accurate records of participant interactions, referrals, and community events.
- Work closely with the Director of Programs to ensure outreach strategies align with LL’s goals.
- Manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to community response and engagement.

Minimum Requirements:
- 18 years or older
- Valid State-Issued ID & Reliable Transportation (this role requires traveling to events and community locations)
- Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Comfortable working in trauma-informed, high-intensity environment.
- Team player who can also work independently
Bonus (But Not Required!):
- Spanish-speaking preferred (many of the participants families we support are bilingual)
- Experience working with at-risk youth, violence prevention, or crisis intervention
- Familiarity with community-based organizations, reentry programs, or social services

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
