Job Description:
The Host/Cashier will be responsible for providing service in a manner which ensures excellent customer service and a professional environment resulting in increased customer loyalty.
Job Requirements:
- Provide fast, friendly, professional, and responsive customer service to restaurant guests and restaurant staff.
- Greet and make welcome each guest entering the restaurant.
- Build a rapport with guests while walking them to their tables.
- Accommodate our guests, asking if they prefer a table or booth.
- Ensure that guest seating is rotated between all service stations.
- Highlight with excitement any current wine or other promotion.
- Communicate guest needs to staff/management, i.e., celebrating anniversary and/ or birthdays.
- Communicate guest complaints and compliments to management.
- Evaluate business levels and arranges or cuts the floor appropriately.
- Assess any situation that possibly needs immediate upper management attention.
- Thank guests and invite them back upon completion of their visit.
- Answer telephone to take new reservations and maintain current reservations within procedural guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have excellent customer services skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with variable overtime.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
