The Line Cook will support the Chef of the Grill Restaurant.
Job Requirements
- Responsible for preparing menu items as directed by the recipes provided by the Sous Chef and/or Executive Chef.
- Ensures that the quality and presentation of food products meet company standards.
- Responsible for preparing, finishing and garnishing all menu items.
- Practices proper food and knife handling.
- Uses and applies proper kitchen safety procedures and basic cooking skills.
- Maintain a clean workstation during service time.
- Disinfects and sanitizes cutting boards and worktables.
- Ensures kitchen and Health Department sanitation requirements are always maintained.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must have related kitchen tools
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma and/or GED preferred
- 1 year restaurant experience preferred
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with variable overtime.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
