JOB SUMMARY : Audits revenue departments and related non-revenue departments on a daily basis and performs other audits and tasks as assigned. Ensures detailed records of all audits and tasks are complete, accurate, and timely completed to meet any required deadlines, and properly filed. Helps prepare and process daily revenue report / spreadsheets and general ledger entry spreadsheet. Assists Revenue Audit management in ensuring the operations of Revenue Audit complies with the Tribal Ordinances, State Compact, TICS, SICS, NIGC, and policies and procedures.

  • Performs daily completion of assigned audits and tasks. Audits and tasks include, but not limited to; Food & Beverage, Hotel, Kiosks, Cards & Dice, Poker, Table Games, Cage, Class 2 Machines, Class 3 Machines, Keys, Keno, Patron Services, Monthly Inventories, Monthly Class 2 & 3 Meter Testing, Bi-Monthly Keno testing, Bi-Monthly Keys testing, Quarterly Barcode Testing (Class 2 & 3, Kiosks, Keno), Quarterly Count Machine Test, Quarterly Asset Verification Test, Bi-Annual Count, Annual Keno Foot the Write.
  • Computes daily revenue audit sheets for revenue producing departments.
  • Prepares daily sales and receipts journal for data entry for Food & Beverage and Gift Shop audits, as assigned.
  • Responsible for inputting data in the General Journal Entry (GJE) spreadsheet.
  • Maintains sales, receipt journals, and daily revenue summary reports.
  • Contacts departments to resolve missing documentation and other issues / concerns.
  • Issues exceptions to departments for incomplete documentation, incorrectly completed documentation, and missing documentation.
  • Maintains required logs and files per Tribal Ordinances, State Compact, TICS, SICS, NIGC, and policies and procedures.
  • Maintains / updates required Excel spreadsheets on a daily basis.
  • Reports daily revenues and non-compliance to management.
  • Maintains an organized filing system of all pertinent Revenue Audit records and documents.
  • Monthly observation of inventory for Food & Beverage, Gift Shop, Warehouse, Hotel, Childcare, Housekeeping, Marketing, etc. Observes cycle inventory counts of Warehouse as assigned.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of all audits and tasks performed by Revenue Auditors.
  • Reviews and gains an understanding of the Tribal Ordinances, State Compact, SICS, NIGC, and policies and procedures.
  • Complies with SICS and policies and procedures.
  • Builds relationships inside and outside of their department / team to improve ways of working and provide a great guest experience.
  • Models for the team, a strong work ethic and is visible, available and present for the guest and their team.
  • Identifies ways to improve workflows and processes to work smarter and increase efficiency.
  • Moves the situation quickly toward resolution by efficiently managing and controlling the circumstances.
  • Explains the "why" behind the resolution or action for the guest.
  • Pays attention to detail and conducts thorough research to make the best decision for the guest and the business.
  • Makes judgment calls based on understanding Legends Casinos' Purpose, Values and Objectives while utilizing research, knowledge, and experience.
  • Proactively shares guest feedback with executive management and peers in the spirit of continuous improvement.
  • Seeks to share and improve processes and workflows based on guest feedback.
  • Finds ways to make good use of their strengths and talents.
  • Work schedule includes weekends and holidays.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

SUPERVISION EXCERCISED : None.

LICENSE REQUIRED : Must obtain and hold a Class III gaming license while employed and complete an annual background check with TGA.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED FOR POSITION : HS Diploma or GED Required. Completion of a community college or business school bookkeeping program preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Prefer one-year experience in accounting with an emphasis on auditing.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Manual dexterity for operation of personal computer and routine paperwork. Ability to sit for extended length of time. Ability to lift 50lbs.

SPECIFIC SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR POSITION : Ten key by touch. Strong knowledge of Excel, knowledge of Word. Some knowledge of journal entry bookkeeping and balancing procedures helpful. Accurate and orderly handling of accounts. Knowledge of revenue audit procedure and revenue audit gaming compliance helpful. A cooperative team spirit. Detail oriented. Problem solving skills.
