Accounting Associate Job Description
Legends is seeking an experienced Accounting Associate to join our Finance team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for assisting the Finance Manager in all accounting functions, including establishing and maintaining accounting principles, overseeing financial reports, and presenting findings to Senior Management.
Responsibilities
• Assist the Finance Manager in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements
• Provide audit support for all financial activities and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Execute and enforce applicable Sarbanes-Oxley standards and maintain a high level of integrity in all financial transactions
• Collaborate with the Finance team and department heads to meet reporting and budgeting needs, provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required
• Perform and review debit and credit reconciliations with the ability to resolve variances and contribute to the overall success of the Finance team
Requirements
• 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry
• A BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office software essential
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required
• Highly analytical with the ability to think creatively and understand complex business dynamics
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment
• Flexibility to work extended hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends, and holidays
