THE VENUE
View Boston, which encompasses the top three floors of the Prudential Tower, will feature immersive experiential exhibits and a bistro on the 50th floor, an indoor/outdoor cocktail lounge with a 360-degree outdoor viewing deck on the 51st floor, and a double high (24-foot) indoor viewing space on the 52nd floor. THE ROLE
The Busser role helps set the stage for an elevated guest experience by maintaining clean and organized dining areas. The Busser works side by side with servers, bartenders, barbacks, food runners, and kitchen staff to ensure tables are reset quickly, service areas remain spotless, and guests feel welcomed and cared for in our fast-paced, high-volume environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clear and reset tables promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining room, including tables, floors, chairs, and service stations.
- Clear tables after guests leave. Carry tableware to the dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware to appropriate areas for washing.
- Assist servers with water service, pre-busing, and other guest needs.
- Replenish supplies such as napkins, silverware, and condiments.
- Ensure all dining and guest areas meet cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Respond appropriately to guest requests. Communicate guest requests to server immediately.
- Communicate effectively with server and hostess to assure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service.
- Assist servers and food runners as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods.
- Support the front-of-house team during busy periods and special events.
- Complete other duties assigned by Food & Beverage Managers or View Boston Management team.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- 1 Year hospitality experience preferred.
- High school diploma preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Team player with a positive, proactive attitude.
- Ability to work independently or in a team setting during set up and execution of service.
- Willingness and drive to exceed the guest expectations.
- Ability to effectively listen and take directions from supervisor.
- Must have excellent knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry items for extended periods.
- Ability to work long hours and flexible shifts including mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a smile.
- Ability to transport up to 50lbs on a continuous basis.
