THE PROJECT

University of Miami Athletics has entered a long-term partnership with Legends to oversee corporate partnerships and multi-media rights opportunities. As the exclusive partner for Miami Athletics, Legends will be responsible for engaging local and regional South Florida businesses, as well as national brands with unique and integrated sponsorship platforms to increase their exposure and align with the undeniably loyal and passionate Hurricane’s fan base.

THE ROLE

The Coordinator of Partnership Activation will be primarily responsible for assisting the partnership sales and activation team through planning, execution, client service, event coordination, and overall management of Hurricane Global Partnerships’. The Coordinator of Partnership Activation acts as the liaison between multiple University of Miami Partners and/or their agencies, Hurricanes Global Partnerships staff, and the internal departments of the University of Miami, including but not limited to, Athletics. The Coordinator of Partnership Activation will report directly into the Manager(s) of Partnership Activation.

Essential Functions

  • Assist the department and Manager(s), Partnership Activation with account management and fulfillment
  • Assist with the development of marketing proposals and presentations for new business, existing business (upsells) and renewals
  • Assist with the development of partners campaign summaries and recaps. Prepare and process documentation related to client implementation and the creation of year-end partnership summaries
  • Compile and communicate data for the department and clients
  • Prepare and communicate timelines, artwork, creative specifications, and implementation deadlines
  • Maintain and manage detailed planning and tracking records, including inventory and department projects
  • Coordinate and assist with special events, client activations, including gameday duties. Act as on-site coordinator for events, including gameday duties.
  • Coordinate and manage ticket and hospitality implementation, as well as scheduling and logistics
  • Assist department with client events, gifts, trips
  • Coordinate Department database and communication
  • Travel as required for events and client meetings

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Minimum of one (1) to two (2) year of partnership sales and activation experience or event / project management experience
  • Expert time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines on numerous concurrent projects
  • Excellent spelling, grammar, proofreading skills, and a strong ability to communicate both orally and in writing
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office and G Suite products, KORE Software, Photoshop, and third-party research tools
  • Familiarity/proficiency with Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and other relevant digital/social media channels
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to establish strong relationships, effectively manage expectations, and provide information with extraordinary courtesy and tact while safeguarding confidentially
  • Ability to establish priorities and courses of action for handling multiple tasks and projects with minimal supervision, and a demonstrated attention to detail
  • Ability to prepare, understand and monitor data and inventory
  • Able to demonstrate flexibility and quickly adapt to changes while maintaining high levels of productivity and effectiveness under pressure
  • Able to work flexible and irregular hours (including evenings, weekends, and special events)
