YANKEE STADIUM

Yankee Stadium is located in the Bronx in New York City. The stadium is the home field for the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball and New York City FC of Major League Soccer.

The stadium opened in April 2009, it is situated on the 24-acre (9.7 ha) former site of Macombs Dam Park, one block north of the original stadium's site. The new Yankee Stadium replicates design elements of the original Yankee Stadium, including its exterior and trademark frieze, while incorporating larger spaces and modern amenities. It has the sixth-largest seating capacity among the 30 stadiums of Major League Baseball.

Yankee Stadium became the home field of the MLS expansion club New York City FC in 2014, which is owned by City Football Group and the Yankees. It will be an interim venue for the club until a soccer-specific stadium is constructed. It has also occasionally hosted college football games, including the annual Pinstripe Bowl, concerts, and other athletic and entertainment events.

THE ROLE

The Director of Premium Services position will report to the VP of Operations and is responsible for effectively and profitably managing and directing all day-to-day aspects of the premium services operations including Clubs, Suites, Club Level, In-Seat Service, and all other pertinent areas of premium services.

Essential Functions

  • Manage all facets of the premium food and beverage operations to achieve operational budgets, manage monthly P&L statements and ensure that all financial reporting is accurate
  • Provide leadership, coaching and mentorship to a staff responsible for executing the premium business plan
  • Maintain cost as it pertains to labor and operating supplies, work within budgeted guidelines.
  • Develop annual operating budget and quarterly reviews vs plan
  • Provide quality service and excellent products while maintaining positive customer and client relations and prudent financial practices
  • Oversee monthly inventory for premium services operations
  • Accountable for establishing and maintaining proper safety and sanitation procedures as well as creating a working relationship with local health officials
  • Ensuring proper operational condition of all food service equipment
  • Work closely with sub-contractors to ensure all operational needs are met and terms of contract are followed
  • Develop new concepts that best serve the desires of our guest and incorporates industry trends
  • Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5-7 years of management experience in the contract foodservice industry, with at least 3 years in premium services or the equivalent, in a sports and entertainment venue.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Unwavering commitment to delivering a high level of customer and client service with demonstrated initiative, leadership and management skills
  • Customer service oriented with the ability to interact with all levels of Legends and Yankee management
  • Must be available to work extended hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Experience with Appetize and NCR/Quest point-of-sales systems is required
  • Knowledge of accounting policy and procedures is preferred

Compensation

Competitive salary range $115,000-$125,000 commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.
