THE ROLE

The Manager, Engagement Center – Nebraska is principally responsible for the day-to-day management of the partnership between Legends and the University of Nebraska Foundation. This role is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to achieve and exceed the stated goals of the partnership as it relates to donor participation, retention, and engagement. This critical role will be focused on developing innovative approaches to connecting constituents with causes and funds that matter to most. Audience segmentation strategies are key to sharing meaningful messaging and content through the right channels to move constituents through the engagement continuum. . To accomplish this, the Manager will help shape our vision and execution for data enrichment, data segmentation, content creation and distribution, while tracking and reporting on KPIs to measure success.

ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hire, train and manage student fundraisers
  • Partner with Marketing Manager on content strategies to support Engagement Center objectives
  • Model projections, monitor metrics and communicate results
  • Optimize strategies and adapt to maximize success
  • Manage day-to-day maintenance of Vanillasoft, our fundraising CRM and outreach platform
  • Attend meetings with the Foundation on weekly, biweekly, quarterly & annual basis
  • Collaborate & strategize with Foundation staff on organization-wide efforts like campus giving days
  • Understand UNF fundraising strategies to ensure alignment with the Engagement Center’s one-to-one approach
  • Establish and enhance a positive and encouraging team culture and professional development plan
  • Connect with fundraising professionals to share best-practices and learnings

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated communication, collaboration, and team skills
  • Proven ability to balance complex and often competing priorities
  • Ability to thrive in an environment with high expectations for results
  • A passion for marketing content and how it builds awareness and educates on the impact of philanthropy
  • Proficiency in basic software programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with CRM systems
  • Call center experience preferred but not mandatory
  • This role is in-person at the Wick Alumni Center in Lincoln, NE
  • The position requires the ability to work outside typical 8am-5pm business hours based on fundraising events and initiatives

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE     

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years of fundraising/engagement management experience, or equivalent experience
