THE ROLE
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, sorting, and stocking items that are delivered to the National Medal of Honor Museum. This also includes setting up and/or breaking down functions periodically or as needed. Shows flexibility in rotating assignments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in receiving and storing Museum deliveries.
- Maintain cleanliness of loading dock area.
- Assist with delivering product to the various department locations within the Museum.
- Assist with set up/teardown of any equipment, tables, chairs, etc. as required for Museum events.
- General housekeeping and cleaning as needed around the loading dock, kitchen, or storage areas.
- Assist in monitoring stock levels of frequently ordered items and notify Purchasing Manager to re-order.
- Performs and assists with routine inventory daily of all required stock per area of responsibility
- Understands the importance of prompt and efficient service
- Assist with emptying pallets and stocking
- Fulfill the assigned opening and closing duties
- Set up and maintain a clean, neat/organized, and safe work area
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- 1-2 years of related experience in hospitality, catering, or special events industry.
- High School Diploma or GED
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
- Ability to work an irregular schedule including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Requires occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds in weight (boxes).
- Ability to work well with others, comfortable taking initiative
- Excellent customer service skills, display a genuine desire to help people
- Professional image and demeanor
- Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time
- Ability to practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
