It is the responsibility of the Manufacturing Manager to provide support and direction for the Triad Process, while providing support to the Branch One Mission and Vision. Responsible for coordinating and directing the components of efficient manufacturing operations, ensuring the production, maintenance, industrial engineering, and personnel functions operate in a team atmosphere to achieve the goals of the operation. Works closely with Branch Manager, Branch Controller, Material Manager, Customer Service Team, Master Scheduler, Quality System Manager, Environmental Health and Safety Director and payroll functions to ensure a safe working environment is maintained while maximizing the efficiencies of the operation. Supervises a group of seven salaried personnel.

So, what will you be doing as a Manufacturing Manager?
Responsible For The Direction Of All Production Operations, Including
- Supervises the Department Superintendents.
- Developing production tasks, which support the manufacturing processes.
- Developing physical layouts to support these tasks in the most efficient manner possible.
- Determining staffing requirements for the manufacturing operations.
- Must strive for continuous cost reductions in all areas of responsibility.
- Efficiently and effectively utilizing machines, materials, methods and labor to achieve production goals.
- Must strive for continuous profit and quality impact.
- Assess and evaluate productivity of all manufacturing equipment.
Responsible for the direction of the Master Schedulers overseeing the production scheduler function including:
- Supervise Master Scheduler in generating weekly production schedules for designated department and performance tracing for schedule stability and shop order performance.
- Participate in the S&OP process.
Responsible For Overseeing The
- Planning and negotiation of labor opportunities.
- Job training and progression programs.
- Initiation of career progression programs.
- Sustainment of employee morale.
- EOJT Process
- People development and strategic thinking.
- Internal and external safety programs.
- Quality programs and procedures.
- Labor and production recording practices.
- Daily inventory procedures.
- Interact with customers to solve problems.
- Review operations reporting and foresee problems with processes.
- Initiate corrective action and follow through for manufacturing opportunities.
- Coordinate periodic communication meetings between Production, Personnel and Engineering.
- Participate in Sales and Operational Planning (SOP) process.
- Perform salary reviews, screen, hire and train manufacturing supervision and staff positions.
- Communicate continuously with all manufacturing partners.
- Set productivity goals for each manufacturing team.
- Strong project management skills.
To Be Successful In This Role, You’ll Need
- 3-5 yrs of facility or manufacturing related leadership/management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Management or a related field
- Intimate knowledge of the manufacturing process used by the company.
- Product familiarity, including the product structures.
- Good communication skills.
