ARMED SECURITY GUARD

Job Overview
The Armed Guard plays a crucial role in maintaining safety and security at designated locations. This position requires a vigilant and proactive approach to protect property, personnel, and assets from potential threats. The Armed Guard will be responsible for monitoring premises, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with security protocols. this is for a Chuck-E-Cheese location in Villa Park-Melrose Park and Chicago on Fullerton Ave. Salary $21-22hr. depending on location. 2pm-10pm are the working hours. Legion Security Consultants Inc. Interviews start today Jan. 16th, 2025.

Duties

• Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to identify potential security breaches.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or disturbances, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
• Conduct thorough inspections of facilities and grounds to ensure safety and security measures are in place.
• Enforce laws and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions.
• Provide first aid and CPR as needed in emergency situations until professional medical assistance arrives.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to report incidents or provide support during investigations.
• Engage in conflict management techniques to de-escalate potentially volatile situations. Must be able to start training immediately. Must have a valid perc card-foid card-40hr. armed certification-duty semi-auto pistol with level 3 holster.

Skills

• Proficient in first aid and CPR techniques, with the ability to respond effectively in emergencies.
• Experience with surveillance systems, including CCTV operation and monitoring.
• Background in armed security, for enhanced situational awareness.
• Strong conflict management skills to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively.
• Knowledge of loss prevention strategies to safeguard assets against theft or damage.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail for identifying unusual behavior or activities.
• Ability to remain composed under pressure while making quick decisions in high-stress environments.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
