What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2025-2026 LSC Media Production Fellow position at Legislative Service Commission?
Media production fellows work as production assistants at OGT / The Ohio Channel.
Studio and field production assignments include camera operation, floor directing, control room directing, research, script writing, editing, lighting, videography, and audio and graphics production.
Fellows will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment including DSLR and HD cameras, cranes, sliders, green screen, and non-linear editing programs and to participate in producing broadcast and web-hosted governmental, contract, educational, historical, and art programming.
Fellows will be able to observe the legislative process as they remotely operate multiple cameras for legislative sessions and committee hearings. Finally, they will participate with all other fellows in program activities such as monthly seminars.
Qualifications
Candidates must, before the program starts, hold a bachelor’s degree with a major or minor in either Mass Media Communications, Journalism (Broadcast or Video & Film), Communication / Communication Arts (Electronic Media, Telecommunications, and Radio / Television), or Media Production.
A bachelor’s degree in another area of study will be considered if you have acquired the requisite video production skills.
