Are you someone with a knack for problem-solving and a passion for ensuring things run smoothly? We’re looking for a dedicated and skilled Attraction Technician to join our LEGOLAND Discovery Center team! This role is essential in helping maintain the day-to-day operations of our thrilling attraction, ensuring that everything is running safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
As an Attraction Technician, you’ll be at the heart of keeping our equipment, machinery, and themed attractions in top shape. From troubleshooting to hands-on repairs, your work will ensure that guests have the best experience possible.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot a variety of equipment and systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and themed attraction machinery.
Tackle maintenance challenges to minimize downtime and keep attractions running smoothly.
Perform tasks like re-lamping, light system maintenance, exhibit setup/takedown, and managing audio-visual equipment for both new and existing exhibits.
Install and replace light bulbs, projector lamps, doors, and other necessary equipment.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain attraction systems, rides, and machinery to keep everything operational.
Handle inspections and work orders, performing necessary adjustments and repairs.
Complete Preventative Maintenance tasks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Repair and maintain interior walls, set up and install data cables, and handle general maintenance tasks such as plumbing, painting, and light carpentry.
Monitor and maintain building systems, ensuring safety protocols and reporting any hazards.
Use and maintain a range of hand tools and power equipment while following safety guidelines.
Apply knowledge of electronics, lighting, and networking systems to support daily operations.
What We're Looking For:
Education: High School diploma or GED required.
Experience: At least 2 years of maintenance experience, ideally in a technical/themed environment with knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing and electrical systems.
Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. A general understanding of safety protocols, and a willingness to keep learning new skills. AV Skills a plus but willing to train.
Personality: Adaptable, resourceful, and able to thrive under pressure while delivering excellent service.
