Position Overview:
LEGOLAND NY is seeking responsible and energetic individuals to join our team as Seasonal Rides Operators. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe operation of amusement rides and attractions during our busy seasonal period. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fun and dynamic environment, ensuring that all guests have a memorable and safe experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ride Operation:
- Safely operate and control amusement rides according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Manage lines efficiently, provide clear instructions to guests and maintain order in waiting areas.
- Be prepared to respond to ride malfunctions, emergencies, or other unexpected situations in accordance with training and safety protocols.
- Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth ride operations and guest satisfaction
- Safety and Compliance:
- Vigilantly monitor rides during operation to ensure the safety and well-being of all guests. Address any issues or concerns promptly.
- Perform routine safety checks on rides before and after operation to ensure they are functioning correctly.
- Resort Quality:
- Keep the ride and queue areas clean and organized, reporting any maintenance needs or hazards to supervisors.
- Guest Interaction/Customer Service:
- Greet guests, assist them in boarding and exiting rides, and ensure they are secure before operation.
- Provide friendly and helpful service to all guests, answering questions and enhancing their overall experience.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old
- Onsite Oral Drug Screen
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings during the park's operating season.
- Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in customer service is preferred but not required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and perform tasks that involve repetitive motion.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to engage with guests and team members effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
- All Ride Operators must complete onsite drug screening.
