The Night Audit Manager will manage and oversee the hotel operations. They will be responsible for all aspects of guest satisfaction and care. They will foster positive relationships with our guests and take care of the hotel guest requirements, effectively handling their complaints and finding resolution where service or equipment is not functioning. Reports the incident to the department head concerned. Night Audit Manager primary role is to oversee the hotel and safety during the overnight. To be able to operate all operational components (Opera, Kiosk, Alice, ISO, and Resort Radio). You will be expected to be proactive in your role when responding to guest needs. Responsible for the night audit operations and completion of reports.  To oversee operations to provide efficient service to guests and ensure implementation of policies and procedures in line with the standards of the Hotel. The Night Audit Manager will be responsible to ensure that the Hotel KPI standards are managed and maintained within the company standards.

 To work alongside a security to maintain a level of security during late-night hours for both night staff and guests. To complete Night Audit duties and complete reports and generate to corporate.

Key Objectives:

• To be readily available always to deal with a problem or complaint.
• To ensure that late arrivals are checked in correctly, allocated a room and their luggage sent to their room without delay.
• To ensure that late arrivals are aware of facilities available at night.
• To ensure that the night staff are carrying out the duties allocated them.
• To ensure all reports to be send to the relevant department.
• To re-arrange rosters and duties in the event of illness or absenteeism
• To perform call outs or report to the departments effective.
• To ensure strict security measures are in operation and no unauthorized person has access to any part of the hotel. 
• To ensure that no unruly or rowdy behaviour persists and to take appropriate measures in the event of unreasonableness by any guest or staff members.
• To ensure that all areas are properly secured after the close of business.
• To ensure that all keys are securely locked away.
• To ensure that the night Housekeeping is performing their required duties.
• To maintain the highest standards of personal appearance and hygiene, as well as ensuring that night staffs are correctly and smartly dressed.
• To check all public areas, to ensure they have been cleaned and serviced correctly.
• To ensure that staff are working and performing their duties correctly and not “sleeping on the job”.  
• To ensure that information board have been updated for the coming day’s business.
• To take over from the evening Guest Service Assistant Manager.
• To hold regular training and coaching sessions ensuring that staff are performing their duties correctly.
• Responsible to run the night audit system.
• To prepare Management report for the next day.
• To report to the Front Office Manager on the daily operation.
• To supervise operation of the hotel in general and represent management when decisions must be made during these hours.
• To ensure that the night housekeeping attendants do their schedule routine tasks.
• Must have Knowledge of Opera, Kiosk, Alice, VingCard and Credit Card Settlements and Batches and General Ledger.

Qualifications & Experience

Job Requirements:

• Opera Knowledge, Night Audit, Time Management, General Ledger, Key System VingCard, Reservations & Revenue, Balance Reports, Excel.
• Minimum of two years of Night Audit experienced.

Development:

• To attend Company training programmes to develop capabilities to help the organization in managing the hotel’s front office operations.

HSS: 

• Ensures internal compliance with maintenance, safety and security procedures by following established ASTM (American Society for Testing & Materials International), NEC (National Electrical Code), NSF (National Science Foundation), OHSA as well as state and local codes.
• Ensure full compliance of policies and procedures set forth within the Health, Safety & Security in the workplace and in line with the Merlin Entertainments Group Policy.
• • Understand risk assessments within own workplace and ensure reporting of any new risks to appropriate manager.
  • Compliance of safe working procedures for work activities within one’s job role, but cognizant of the effects on others prior to the activity/function. 
  • In cases of incidents or accidents ensure appropriate reporting is done in a timely manner to the duty manager.
