What you'll bring to the team
This role is responsible for the nightly stock processing and sales floor/stockroom replenishment of assigned Retail Store locations in the Resort according to Retail and Loss Prevention procedures. This role will also be responsible for meeting stock processing efficiency goals. This role will also be responsible for creating and executing visually appealing merchandise presentations, as assigned, in store locations. This role will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment and will also be doing light housekeeping work within assigned store locations. This role will be responsible for utilizing small equipment such as hand-truck (dolly), pallet jacks and warehouse carts.
Essential job functions:
1. Stock Processing
· Responsible for moving merchandise orders throughout park to assigned delivery destinations
· Responsible for accurately checking in orders and reporting discrepancies according to policy and efficiency goals
· Responsible for creating visually appealing store presentations and storing extra stock in an organized manner in store stockrooms, shed and/or containers
2. Inventory Control
· Responsible for maintaining Loss Prevention standards when accessing store locations.
· Responsible for participating in all Inventory Control processes and procedures, and providing accurate results.
· Responsible for participating in Department-Wide Stock Take.
4. Health & Safety
· All PPE equipment, including back braces and gloves when appropriate must be utilized at all times.
· Employees are responsible for the safety of themselves, their colleagues and guests (where appropriate), in line with the Group Policy (HS001) and the law. In particular, they must ensure that they follow safe working procedures for all work activities that they undertake, and they must not use any tools or equipment for which they have not been trained. Where incidents do occur, they must ensure that they are reported to their line manager and must cooperate with any investigation as appropriate.
· Securing locations properly.
· Product should not be stacked too high & abide by fire & Safety Standards.
5. Other
· May be assigned other activities and responsibilities within the Retail Department as needed.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
· Expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times even when no guests are present. These team members should be trustworthy and respectful of others MCs and their work locations.
Qualifications & Experience
Background and Experience:
· Preferred one - two years of experience in Retail.
· Preferred knowledge of inventory auditing, and stock related processes.
· Preferred experience in merchandise maintenance and visual merchandising.
· Requires ability to work effectively with others with effective communication skills.
· Requires ability to work autonomously and self-motivate to complete assigned tasks.
· Experience in theme park merchandise processing is preferred.
Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED.)
Physical requirements:
· Ability to sit for sustained periods of time to attend on-site and off-site meetings, perform paperwork activities, travel and drive.
· Intermittent and prolonged standing and walking to move about the resort site, and interact with employees.
· Ability to bend, flex, lift, and all associated physical activity to process merchandise deliveries.
· Ability to lift 30 pounds repetitively and up to 74 pounds occasionally.
· Finger dexterity sufficient to complete paperwork activities and to use a computer.
· Visual acuity sufficient to read written materials, to complete paperwork activities, and to drive.
· Hearing sufficient to communicate with individuals in person and by telephone.
Work Environment:
Various inside and outside locations with varying temperatures and floor surfaces.
Other Job Requirements:
· Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, holidays and weekends to support resort operations.
· Must be able to operate company equipment safely.
