What you'll bring to the team
Scope and Responsibilities: • Distribute and collect costumes daily.
- Set costumes as assigned and designed.
- Efficiently complete daily laundry and be able to follow garment care instructions. • Make basic costume repairs and alterations. • Record performer measurements, attend costume fittings and dress rehearsals.
- Take notes and direction from production team, and entertainment management. • Guarantee costume quality- ensure costumes are clean, sanitized, overall well maintained and show ready. • Maintains cleanliness, organization, and safety in greenrooms and costume shop. • Notify manager of any operational problems within their facility. • Notify manager of any new items which need to be purchased or costumes which need replacing. • Maintain and repairs Costume Character mascot fleet.
- Be able to identify priorities to maintain daily operations and balance daily tasks. • Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- Background and Experience: • Previous professional costume experience. • Previous professional sewing and altering experience. • Previous costume theme park or costume theatre experience desired. • Experience with mascot and specialty costumes greatly desired. • Machine & hand sewing and skills required. Education: Minimum high school diploma Other Requirements: Must be willing to work nights, flexible hours, including holidays and weekends to support park operations.
- Must be comfortable working in a face paced environment.
- Must be able to multitask to work on multiple shows and entertainment offerings.
